Scheduled Tours

Itinerary of Mt. Elbrus climbing 11 day tour

Day 1. Arrive in Moscow. Transfer Airport-Hotel. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 2. Fly to Mineralnye Vody (Caucasus), 2 hrs. Bus ride (4 hrs.) to a mount lodge in the Baksan valley in the foothills of Mt. Elbrus. Hike to Narzan mineral springs. Overnight stay in a lodge.

Day 3. Acclimatization hike along the  valley.

Day 4. Acclimatization ascent (including ski lifts) of Cheget mountain, 3600 m (11,800 feet). Amazing view of Mt.Elbrus and Mt. Donguz-Orun.

Day 5. Ride ski lifts. Go up to the former "Priut-11" lodge (now destroyed by fire on 16 Aug 98). Set up a base camp. Acclimatization hike. Overnight stay in tents on the slopes of Elbrus.

Day 6. Acclimatization hike to the Pastukhov Rocks, 4800 m (15,740 feet).

Day 7. Summit day. Leave base camp before dawn (about 2 am) for climb of Elbrus West summit, 5642 m (18,498 feet),. Descend to the base camp.

Day 8. Reserve day in case of bad weather for climbing Elbrus.

Day 9. Descend to the Baksan valley.

Day 10. Drive to Mineralnye Vody. Fly back to Moscow. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 11. Transfer Hotel-Airport. Fly home.

Moscow - CDT hotel - twin/double-rooms. You also offer accommodation in the "Intourist" hotel (4*, very centrally located) for the additional fee (90 US$).

Transportation:
Booking the tickets Moscow - Min Vody (Nalchik) - Moscow (the price of the airplane tickets is not included in the land cost).
All necessary transfers on the tour by bus and trams.

Tents - clients provide food by themselves. You have to take along your favourite dry meals (See List of Equipment).  Hot, boiled water and any necessary assistance are provided by our guides. The purpose of this self-service is to avoid stomach problems. It's better to eat your favorite familiar meals on high altitude. However, if you do not take food along our guides will provide you with all meals for no extra charge.
